Mitchell M. Weech, Jr., age 95, of Old Town, FL passed away August 22, 2023 under the loving care of his family and Vitas Hospice.
He was born in Key West, FL on July 2, 1928 to the late Mitchell M. Weech, Sr and Euphemia Pinder Weech. He was a retired Operating Engineer with Local #487 of Miami, FL. and served our country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years, Bonnie (Paradowicz) Weech; 3 daughters: Tammy (Joe) DeVincent, Inverness, FL; Deborah (Missi) Morton, Pembroke Pines, FL; Tammy (Dave) Tyree, Old Town, FL; 2 Sons: Russell (Mei) Sheppard, Geneva, IL; Lincoln Sheppard, Old Town, FL; 10 grandchildren: Anthony (Sadie) DeVincent, Lakeland, FL; Gina (Rob) DeVincent, Pembroke Pines, FL; Justin Weech, Davie, FL; Larry Lane, Lakeland, FL; Matthew Tyree, S Elgin, IL: Cheyenne Shepphard, Hamshire, IL; Liam & Joseph Sheppard, Geneva, IL; Malyn & Ben Morton, Pembroke Pine, FL; and 3 great grandchildren, several loving nieces and nephews; and survived by his dog Simba. He was predeceased by 2 sons, David Weech and Jerry Lee. Also preceding him were 3 brothers, Reginald, Joseph, and Bertram Weech; 1 sister, Dorothy Kempster and his granddaughter, Lisa Weech.
A Celebration of Life has been planned by the family on September 9, 2023 at 1:00 pm at McCalls Chapel, 7755 State Rd 349, Branford, FL 32008; Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
