Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Sjogren, 91 of Lecanto, passed away August 17, 2023 at Rosecastle of Inverness. Betty was born in Lowell, MA on August 14, 1932 to the late Edmund and Mildred (Freeman) Buckley. She came to Citrus County in 1994 from New Hampshire. She was a Travel Agent and a member of the Lecanto Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was also a member of the Scandinavian-American Club, Toastmasters and the Poetry Club of Florida.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Kirstin Stockwell and husband Dean of Alva, FL; Theodore Sojourn of North Hollywood, CA; Russell Sjogren of Exeter, RI; Karen Robillard of Kingstown, RI; six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Sjogren, Jr., on January 28, 2008.
The Funeral Service of Remembrance for Betty will be conducted on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM, at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, with Mr. James Pirotta officiating. Following the service Betty will be interred with her husband, Theodore, at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
