Linda A Read

Linda A. Read, 75, of Lecanto, FL passed away August 15, 2023, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL. She was born in Middlebury, VT on February 25, 1948 to the late Russell R. and Madeline M. (Crossman) Smith. Linda was a bookkeeper and arrived in this area after retiring from the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority in 2015, coming from West Warwick, RI. She enjoyed playing cards, spending time with her friends at “Lollygaggers”, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Alton Read. Survivors include her children Shawn Read of Lecanto, FL, and Lisa (Alan) LoBianco of Warwick, RI; and 2 grandchildren: Robbie and G’Anna Marie LoBianco, along with her loving sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews as well as several great nieces and great nephews. A Memorial Gathering of family and friends is scheduled for Friday, September 1, 11:00 am at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. A procession to the cemetery will depart the funeral home precisely at 10:15am. Arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
