Grace V Householder

Grace (Wood) Householder, 93, of Inverness, Florida passed away on June 30, 2023 at HPH Citrus Hospice House in Lecanto, Florida. Grace formally from Martinsburg, West Virginia was born August 6,1929 in Hedgesville, West Virginia to Harry Wood and Mary Schilling Wood. Grace is predeceased by her parents, husband Herbert Householder, sister Alice Kesecker, and brothers Roy Wood, Boyd Wood, and Paul Wood.
Grace has been a resident of Inverness, Florida since 1992. Previously from Martinsburg, West Virginia, Grace moved to Florida in 1955.
Grace was a homemaker. Grace’s interest included everything related to genealogy. She loved telling stories about her family history to whoever would listen. She enjoyed going to yard sales. She also was an avid weather watcher. Always asking “is it going to rain”. She enjoyed country music with Johnny Cash and Jim Reeves as her favorites. Grace will be remembered as a kind, giving and generous soul – always putting others first before herself. She had a humble upbringing and helped to raise her four younger siblings. She was all that was good and will be missed. Rest in peace, Mom.
Grace is survived by daughter; Brenda (Bill) Brown of Orlando, Florida, sons; Roger (Cindy) Householder of Buena Vista, Georgia; Glen (Michelle) Householder of Beverly Hills, Florida; Allen (Cindy) Householder of Belleair Beach, Florida and Steven Householder of Inverness, Florida, as well as eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild (predeceased), two great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services for Grace will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Charles E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. A burial will follow later at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL., where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Herbert Householder.
