Dennis W Hedman

Dennis W. Hedman of Puyallup Washington, passed away June 5th, 2023 at Citrus Memorial hospital in Inverness FL.
Dennis was preceded by his first wife Darlene Hedman and his daughter, Becca Hedman. Dennis is survived by Lisa Baylous; sons: Jason Hedman, John Hedman, Chris Hedman; step-daughters: Sonja Ferrera, Sheena Baylous, Minuette De Jonge. Many Grandchildren. His sister, Suanan and brother, Steven Hedman.
Dennis was a US Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam. Dennis was a Graduate of Tacoma College and held a medical degree in psychology and counseling. Dennis worked for the United States Post Office for 16 years, Hillhaven Printing for 12 years. After college, Dennis worked for Progress House, counseling those in need.
Dennis was instrumental in the institution of “Becca’s Law” in the State of Washington. This bill requires all children between the ages of 8-18 to attend school regularly and assists with runaways and truancy. This law was brought after the passing of Dennis’s daughter Becca.
Dennis was a kind and loving person, his grandkids loved to be around him. He was fun to talk to and loved taking care of people. Dennis was a lover of baseball and collecting baseball cards, and he truly loved his Beatles. We will always love Dennis and he is greatly missed.
