Richard Carl Walter, age 79 of Inverness, FL passed away May 13, 2023 surround by his wife, loving children, family and friends at Citrus Memorial Hospital. We want thank all of the CCU RNs and others healthcare workers whom cared for our “Loved One”. Richard was born in Syracuse, NY on January 23, 1944 to the late Edward and Rita Mae (Rawson) Walter and came to Florida 11 years ago from Baldwinsville, NY. He was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for a vocational school.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Linda (Beshures) Walter; 5 children: Annette Pittsley, Newport News, VA; Kimberly (Deano) Baker, Inverness, FL; Cassandra Borland, Owego, NY; Eric Roberts, Palermo, NY; Nicole Novak, Ocala, FL . 2 brothers: Edward (Janet) Walter and Sheldon “Bud” Walter predeceased by his wife Betsy; 1 sister, Nora Walter; 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl (Kenneth, 2019) McCartney in 2006 and his brother, Nelson (Cathy) Walter in 2018.
There will be a Celebration of Life schedule later at the Fort Cooper Mobile Home Park Clubhouse where he and Linda resided.
Cremation arrangements were handled by the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory.
