Jeffrey G. Tyson, age 62, of Inverness, FL passed away April 27, 2023 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. He was born in Thomaston, GA on July 27, 1960 to the late J.G. and Norma (Crabtree) Tyson. Jeff graduated from R.E. Lee high school.
Jeff Tyson was a man with a tender and generous heart. He often came across as a quiet man at first but once you got to know him he was one of the most jovial fellas you could hope to meet. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, a cozy chair with a good book, and boy did he love some chicken wings. His greatest joy though was his family. He loved them deeply, especially his wife, and took such pride in the lineage he came from. You knew this because it’s what he always talked about. He was a devoted husband and a loving son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. He lived a full life and is loved dearly by those who have been blessed to share that life with him.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 22 years, Lynnette Tyson; brother, Glenn Tyson; son, Jeffery Tyson; nephews, Jeremy (Jessica) Tyson and Brennen Salter; niece, Jennifer (Jeremy) Compton; and his great niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Rhonda Salter.
The family will hold a private celebration of life at a future date.
