Diane M. Boles, 83, died on March 2, 2023. She was born in West Palm Beach, FL to Merrill and Naomi Meade. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Stanfield, Jr.; a granddaughter, Cecelia Salomon; a grandson, William Mitchell; her brother, Dr. Gene Hill; three husbands also preceded her in death: Robert B. Stanfield, Sr.; “Buddy” Mitchell; and Frank Boles.

In her lifetime, she lived in Oregon, Miami, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Pinellas Park, and moved to Citrus County in 1991. While in Tampa 16 years, she went back to King High School for night school and did 16 credits in 2 semesters, and graduated that June! She also, took a seven month Nursing course, and went to Florida Beacon Bible College in Largo. She was a retired hairdresser of Tampa Beauty School, and Withlacoochee Vo-tech Cosmetology. She worked at several Dunkin Donuts in Tampa and Homosassa. In 1992, she worked at Grannie’s restaurant in Crystal River.

She sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and Children’s Church at Assembly of God Church in back of Howards Flea Market. She loved to sing, read, garden and cook holiday meals. She and Frank became member of Homosassa Church of God and began going to local nursing facilities to teach the Bible. She taught Bible Study at Cypress Cove Care Center for over twenty years, and was a hairdresser there for a couple of years. Also, she taught Bible Study at Diamond Ridge Health & Rehab Center.

Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Stanfield; three sons: Bill Mitchell, Darryl Mitchell, and Darrin Mitchell; nieces: Patricia and Andrea; and a great-niece, Amber.

Funeral Service of Remembrance will take place at Homosassa Church of God, on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 1:00PM, with a visitation from 12 Noon until the hour of service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Frank Boles at the Fountains Memorial Park in Homosassa. The Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory in Inverness, FL is assisting the family with arrangements.
