Glen Lemuel Atkinson, age 81, Floral City, FL, passed away February 11, 2023 in Citrus Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Atkinson was born in Tarpon Springs, FL on February 12, 1941 to the late Dewey and Irene (Trowell) Atkinson and moved here in 1972 from Tampa, FL. He was a retired well driller (Atkinson’s Well Drilling) and attended the Bushnell Church of God.
Glen was a simple man, and an extremely dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who put his family and friends above all else. If Glen knew you needed help, he was always there no matter what you needed or the circumstance. He was a friend to all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 64 years, Janice (Blakey) Atkinson of Floral City; 2 sons: Steve (Kathie) Atkinson and Glen A. Atkinson; 2 sisters: Laura Clark and Sarah Linton; 1 brother: Kenneth Atkinson; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son Timothy Atkinson; 2 brothers: James, and Buddy Atkinson; 5 sisters: Myrle, Dorothy, Kathy, Geraldine, and Pauline.
