Daniel Dale Moon

Daniel Dale Moon, 69, of Inverness, FL passed away February 9, 2023 at his residence in Inverness. He was born in Wilmington, OH on February 13, 1953. Daniel was a Maintenance Supervisor in the retail industry, and a U.S. Navy veteran. He arrived in this area in 1989, coming from Loveland, OH, and enjoyed fishing, was a great musician, loved landscaping, and had a great sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon, his mother Wilma Malott, and sister-in-law Kim Moon. Survivors include his father James (Becky) Malott of Milford, OH, daughter Angela (David) Strickland of Lawtey, FL; siblings Cindy (Jim) Katsetos of Loveland, OH, Doug Moon of Jacksonville, FL, Connie (Steve) Ayers of Georgetown, OH, and Jamie (Tina) Malott of Milford, OH; grandchildren Eric Strickland of Jacksonville, FL, and Danielle (Wyatt) Hicks of Lake Butler, FL; and great grandchild Walker Hicks. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Daniel will be held on Monday, February 20, 9:30 am at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL where military honors will be rendered. The procession to the cemetery will depart the funeral home at 8:45 am. Arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
