Marian Annette Kobb, age 66, Lake Panasoffkee, FL passed away January 14, 2023 in Citrus Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. Marian was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 18, 1956 to the late Frank and Frances (Bonjorno) Smaldone and came to this area in 1989 from Tennessee. She was a retired Medical Assistant, having worked in Citrus Memorial Hospital and area nursing homes. Marians love for helping people continued after her passing, as she was also an organ donor. Marian was the sunshine that brightened everyone’s day. Her laughter was infectious. She was known as Momma by so many. She loved animals of all kinds, especially her two dogs Max and Dinky. She enjoyed feeding and watching the wild peacocks, sheep and horses that lived on her property. If you knew Marian you knew true love.. she was an amazing mother to her children, a wonderful wife to her husband, a loving grandma to her grandchildren and an incredible friend. She was the light in everyone’s life. And she will forever be loved.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Brian Kobb, Lake Panasoffkee, FL; 3 children: Jennifer Marques-Compostella (Joseph), Inverness; Mathew Marques (Katherine), Inverness; Tara Welsand (Samuel), Inverness; 9 grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nancy Smaldone, of NJ; 2 nieces: Kimberly and Kristine Smaldone of CA; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her older brother, Vincent Smaldone and her oldest son, Mark J. Marques, II on July 14, 2020.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 3:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Reneau of Cornerstone Baptist Church officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory.
