Therese M Orr

Therese Marie Orr, 83, of Inverness, FL passed away January 6, 2023 at Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, FL. She was born in Normandy, France on December 30, 1939, and witnessed D Day. Therese was a registered nurse, and arrived in this area in 1981, coming from California. She was Roman Catholic by faith, and enjoyed playing Bingo, taking pictures, and cooking. Therese was a volunteer for veterans and the honor guard. She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald W. Orr. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years Maurice J. Fortin. Other survivors include her children Kevin J. Orr, and Francine N. Dale, both of Inverness; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, January 14, 12:00 Noon at VFW Post #4337, Inverness. Therese’s urn will be laid to rest with services at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL on Monday, January 30, 11:00 AM. All are requested to meet at the cemetery. Cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
