Donald K Johnson

Donald K. Johnson, 90, of Inverness, FL passed away on December 5, 2022 at Avante at Inverness. He was born in Fulton, NY on September 10, 1932 to the late John S. and Bessie (Boyce) Johnson. Donald was a bank manager for Key Bank in NY, and served our country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was Christian by faith, a former athlete, and a sports enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce Johnson in 2015, and siblings Mary, Carl and John Johnson. Donald is survived by his children David Johnson of Fulton, NY and Jennifer (Robin) Cooper of Flagler Beach, FL; sons Gary (Mary Plonka) Abraham of Great Valley, NY, and Timothy (Mercedes) Johnson of San Diego, CA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with military honors will take place on Wednesday, December 21, 1:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. A procession to the cemetery will depart the funeral home promptly at 12:15 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Donald’s name be made to St. Jude’s Hospital. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL is in charge of arrangements.
