Herman Junior Ludwig, age 100 of Inverness, FL passed away November 13, 2022 in the Citrus Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Herman was born in Whitmore Lake, MI on February 9, 1922 to the late Herman C. Ludwig and Bessie (Carr) Ludwig. He moved to Florida in 1988 from Milan, MI. Prior to retirement, he owned and operated a used car sales and service business. He served our country in the U.S. Army and fought in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and central Europe.
Left to cherish his memory are 4 children: Jerry (Linda) Ludwig and Lawrence (Penny) Warden, both of Inverness, FL; Theresa (Ray) Korte, Ypsilanti, MI and Denise (George) Davis of Watervliet, MI. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grand kids. He was preceded in death by his wife Myra Ludwig who died January 28, 2020 and his son, Ronald Ludwig.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 9:30 AM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. Friends may call on the family beginning at 8:30 AM until the hour of service. Burial will follow in Florida National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Vitas Hospice, P.O. Box 1330, Lecanto, FL 34460.
