Gerald D. Gelinas, 77 years of age

It is with great sadness that our beloved Gerry passed away on November 12th, 2022 after a sudden illness, surrounded by family and love.

Gerry retired from the Air Force as a TSgt in 1988. When he retired, he became an over the road truck driver. He loved the open road and the conversations over the CB with his fellow truckers.

Gerry was a selfless man that loved his family and friends dearly. He would always put everyone else first. He enjoyed feeding everyone that came to his home. His favorite thing to make was breakfast, so you could start your day right. Gerry’s eggs were his specialty. He also enjoyed baking snickerdoodle and peanut butter blossom cookies with his grandsons. You would never be at his house and be cold or hungry, he made sure of that.

Gerry enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was known for his love for his friends and family, and he never met a stranger. Gerry had a great sense of humor and was always cracking jokes with everyone.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Gelinas and his Brother-in-Law, Rick Wagner.

He will be missed dearly by his wife of 40 years, Dee; Mother, Rachel; Children, Robert (Renee) and Brandon (Robin); Grandchildren, Gavyn, Mason, Joey (Katie), Bradley (Julia) and Vincent; Brother, Robin (Phyllis); Sisters, Sue Wagner and Darlene Guilbert (Dick); and loved by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Graveside service with Military Honors is schedule for Monday, November 28, 2022, at 10:30AM at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. The procession will be leaving the funeral home promptly at 9:45AM. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00AM until 9:45AM. The Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL is assisting the family with the arrangements.
