Agnes Margaret “Bunny” Jackson passed away peacefully at the age of 80 after years of dementia on Friday, November 11, 2022 surrounded by her children and Vitas Hospice at Superior Residences of Lecanto. She was born in Slovan, Pennsylvania on June 12, 1942 to Quentin “Queenie” Capozzoli and Helen Lilly. She lived in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania until she married Jim Hampton and moved to Clinton, Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Quentin “LuLu” Capozzoli and her second husband Thurman “Tommy” Jackson. She is survived by her brothers Art (Annette) Capozolli of McDonald, PA and George (Christine) Capozzoli of Edinboro, PA; her sisters Sylvia McGaughey of Leetsdale, PA, Jeanne Capozzoli of Houston, TX, and Carol Watton of Burgettstown, PA; her children Karen (Kevin) Fisher of Inverness, FL and Jim Hampton, Jr of Adamstown, MD; her grandchildren Allie Fisher, Bryan Fisher, Jimmy Hampton III and Tori Hampton; many nieces and nephews; her best friend Norma Shaffer; and her fiance Bob Biggs of Hernando, FL.
She retired from the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC and moved to Florida in 2004. She loved bowling; watching football and NASCAR; and spending time with her grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life next summer in Pittsburgh, PA followed by interment of her cremains at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD.
