Charlotte E. Voelker, 87 years, of Hernando, FL, passed away November 5, 2022. She was born in Mainz, Germany to the late Carl Fischer and Helene Schmolke. Charlotte has been a resident of Hernando for the past 25 years, previously residing in Germany, where she was born and raised.
Charlotte was employed by Bank of America as a Public Accountant until her retirement. Catholic was by faith, she was a fabulous knitter and enjoyed gardening. She loved to cook, enjoyed traveling, and watching German TV, and traveled and hiked through the Alps and Himalayan Mountains. Charlotte was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Predeceased by her parents; Carl and Helene Fischer and her beloved husband Edward M. Voelker, II, who passed away February 2, 2015.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Edward M. Voelker, III (Liberty Hawkins) of Germany, Gabriele “Gaby” Voelker (Eric Hamm) of New Salem, MA, and Jutta Sheppard (Greg) of Cocoa Beach, FL, and her brother Norbert Fischer of California, also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Charlotte will be laid to rest with her husband Edward in Florida National Cemetery 1pm Monday December 5, 2022. Cremation with Care under the direction of Chas E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
