Charles E Campbell

Charles Edward Campbell, 82, of Hernando went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2022, under the care of his loving wife and Vitas Hospice.
Charlie was born in Crown City, OH in the spring of 1940 to the late Lawrence E. and Lillie Campbell.
He started working in road construction in 1959 at the age of 19. He worked for many companies in Ohio until he moved to Florida in 1971, finding a home at Carroll Contracting and Ready Mix, and eventually becoming their General Superintendent. After the sale of Carroll Contracting, he joined DAB Constructors, retiring in 2007 at the age of 67.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Janet, four children, Angela (Ben), Sheila (Steve), Edward (Dawn), and Keith (Kathy). He was one of six children. Surviving siblings are one sister, Karen, and a brother, Ron (Anita). He has nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Richard, sisters Ruth Ann and Jennie.
Services for Mr. Campbell will be at Gulf to Lake Church in Crystal River on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 6:30pm with the family receiving guests at 6pm; Pastor Lloyd Bertine officiating.
