Don F Blair

Don Finley Blair passed away peacefully, at the age of 85 on October 12, 2022, while under the excellent care of HPH Hospice in Lecanto, Florida. He was born November 11, 1936, in London, Kentucky to the late Virgil Blair and Zella (Corn) Blair. Don had been a resident of Hudson, Florida, with his daughter and son-in-law for the past two years. Prior to that, he had been a resident of Inverness (since 2004), and a longtime resident of Clearwater.

In his early adulthood, Don proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a longtime member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, in Inverness. Don was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, billiards and antiquing.

He was predeceased by his mother and father, Virgil and Zella Blair, as well as his wife of 40 years, Sandra Ann Blair, who passed on August 3, 2018.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Shelly Bredice of Inverness,
Sheryl Downen (John) of Hudson, FL, Jody R. Blair of Tarpon Springs, Leslie D. Woodward (Cherie) of St. Petersburg, and Russell Woodward of Clearwater (Karen); also, a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Don’s life, at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, located at 1100 W. Highland Blvd, Inverness. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Military Honors will be bestowed following the Celebration of Life. Don and Sandra will be laid to rest in Bay Pines National Cemetery, in St. Petersburg.

In lieu of flowers, Don’s family prefers donations be made to HPH Hospice.
