Ella Mae Rogers, 74, of Floral City, passed away September 28, 2022 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. Ella was born on November 15, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Harry W. and Betty (Starkey) Corder. She came to Citrus County in 1987 from Pinellas Park, FL. Ella was a seamstress for Floral City Airboats.
Ella Rogers, more commonly known as Lala to her family, was such a genuine soul. Her love for people went farther than just the surface, it didn’t matter who you were. She believed that actions spoke louder than words. She was a firecracker, there was never a challenge she couldn’t overcome. She spent almost a decade volunteering for the American Red Cross, which meant a lot to her. Lala had a ton of favorite hobbies which included puzzle books, collecting owls, playing cards, and spending quality time with her family. She also enjoyed playing her golden tickets aka scratch-offs. She had an infectious smile and loved to make people laugh. Her grandkids were her pride and joy! The people she touched will forever be blessed. She has joined as the head of the table at the heavenly cookout and (we can only imagine) the heart felt welcome she will receive when she walks through the gates of heaven.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Leeanna Ford (Robert Michon) of Floral City, Tabitha Fournier (Lee) of Crestview, FL; Renae Butler, Niceville, FL; her brother; Scott Corder (Debra) Southlake, TX; her sister in law; Claudia Corder Hickory Creek TX.(her nieces Kim and Terri) and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Rogers in 2013 and her brother Ronald Corder 2006.
Private cremation with care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
