Walter R. Muse “Sonny”, 89, years, passed away September 15, 2022 at home under the care of Cornerstone Hospice. He was born in Wakefield, MA to the late Water Muse and Catherine Donaldson.
On July 20 1959, Sonny and Dorothy Page were married and have been together since. Over the course of their life together, they resided in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Sumter Counties.
Sonny believed in Jesus Christ and lived a Christian Life. Although so much can be said about Sonny, he is remembered most for his love of talking and telling his story/stories, to family and friends. Sonny never met a stranger.
Family came first to Sonny. He was both a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He meant so much to so many.
Sonny loved the outdoors. His love for hunting, livestock and building fences helped shape who he was. Sonny never met a fence he couldn’t build and always did it right the first time. He took pride in his work and it showed. His skill and experience at building fence, working with horses and cattle was second to none. He was a ranch hand and a cowboy through and through.
He always said his only regret was that he wished he could have given more to those in need. Sonny was predeceased by his parents, and sister, Laura Mae Reese.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 63 years, Dorothy Muse; a son Martin H. Muse (Lyn); a daughter Beverly S. Schipp (Jerry); a brother Sam Pixton (Barbara); a sister Mary Lou Healy; and two granddaughters: Nevaeh and Holly and many, many more friends.
No funeral will be held at this time. A future Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held. Notification will be provided through personal invitation and social media.
