Elias Samuel Valentin Nieves, 85, of Inverness, FL passed away on September 3rd, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Felix Valentin Arroyo and Emilia Nieves on February 16th, 1937 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Elias was a taxi cab driver for many years in New York City and enjoyed watching baseball, horse races, and fishing. He was a devoted family man.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Ernesto Valentin and Rosemary Barker and her husband, Curt; 4 grandchildren: Arianna and Samarrah Valentin and Nahro and Sebella Lugo.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, September 10th, 2022 at 1 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, with Father Claudius Mganga, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 Noon until service time. Cremation with Care will be under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL following the services.
