Leslie B Tettenburn

Leslie Bernard Tettenburn, 86, of Floral City, FL passed away on August 18th, 2022.
He was a Masonry Contractor in Citrus County since 1980. A Mason & Masonry volunteer for 50 years.
15 of those years a volunteer on Florida’s RBC 6; building Kingdom Halls, large assembly halls and helping with disaster relief. He made Citrus County his home in 1980 after moving from Largo, FL. Along with his wife & son Janice & Keith Tettenburn. Leslie was baptized April 29 1945 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He served as an Elder in the Bushnell Congregation of Jehovah’s witnesses for many years. Leslie volunteered at the Sumter Federal prison and the State prison conducting bible meetings twice a week for 20 years. Leslie was active as a minister in the door to door bible education work for 77 years. But he was also that guy that had time for his family and friends. He loved to tease & joke. Les was active with his son and friends, water skiing, dirt biking, snow skiing, travel. He built & shared his pool for all to get together and enjoy. He had a hard hat and boots for his son Keith as a toddler and took him to work with him on occasion to help Janice. Les taught his son the masonry trade when he was old enough.
In the early years when her health allowed, his wife of 47 years, Janice was also involved with him in much of his spiritual activities. Including food service at large bible assembly and convention programs and the public ministry.
During his second 16 year marriage, his wife Patricia had the privilege of volunteering with Leslie on 16 building projects & the public ministry. He was 79 yrs old on his last building project.
He was preceded in death by his late wife, Janice who passed in 2005 and by his brothers Perry Tettenburn and Joel Mossinger & his mother Mary Mossinger & father Elwood Tettenburn. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia; his son, Keith Tettenburn; his brother, Jeffrey Mossinger; his sisters, Cheryl Nix and Candice Iaukea; and his grandchild, Keirah Bandstra (Jake)
A Memoral Service for Leslie will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 2:00PM, at the Bushnell Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1406 S.W. 70th Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513
Cremation with Care is under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
