Paul W. Burger, Jr. of Inverness, Florida passed away August 12, 2022 under the loving care of his family and Vitas Hospice at the age of 87. He was born to Paul Burger, Sr. and Mildred Steele Burger October 31, 1934 in Mansfield, Ohio. He came to Florida as a young child. Paul graduated from Manatee High School in 1952. Paul was employed at the Bradenton Herald print shop for 25 years. After that he and Charles Thiers opened and operated Burger Printing for 15 years before retiring. At that time he and his wife, Frances, moved to Citrus County.
He loved being home with his family, working in his yard, fishing, and traveling with his wife and friends. Paul is remembered as everyone’s favorite man, loving husband, doting cherished father and grandfather.
Along with his parents, Paul was proceeded in death by his brother , Richard. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 69 years, Frances, daughter, Gail Merchant and son, Paul Daniel Burger (Jilleen) all of Bradenton, FL. His grandchildren, Gloria Dawn French, Brittany Taylor, Ashley Jeffcoat, (Gordon), Kristy Merchant, Danielle Stewart, (Bryan), Sarah Curtis,(Jon), Great-grandchildren Gabriel Stewart, Brandt, Penelope, and Everleigh Jeffcoat, Aerith and Faith Curtis, also his many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 19th at 1 pm at 9060 E. China Grove Lane, Inverness, Florida. Cremation with Care is under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
