Elopah W. Shrout, age 81, Citrus Springs, FL passed away June 28, 2022 in Citrus Memorial Hospital. Elopah was born January 21, 1941 in Owingsville, KY to the late Taulbee and Bertha (Hatton) Shrout and came to Florida in 1995 from Georgetown, KY. He was retired from Columbia Gas Co. as a Regulator Technician and served our country in the US Army. He was an active member of the Lecanto Ward of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He leaves to cherish his memory is his wife of 57 years, Peggy Hatton Shrout; his son, Adam Shrout and wife Heather of Panama City, FL; 1 brother, Lawrence of Owingsville, KY; 3 grandchildren: Cadence, Aubrey, and Hannah. He was predeceased by 8 siblings.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 6th at 1:00 PM from the Church of Latter-day Saints (Lecanto Ward) with Bishop Edward Nixon officiating. Friends may visit at the church from 12 noon until the services begin at 1:00 PM. Cremation with care will follow at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory.
