Naomi Ruth Strickland, age 89, Inverness, FL passed away May 30, 2022 at home under the care of her loving family and Vitas Hospice.
Naomi was born in Plant City, FL on October 8, 1932 to the late Arthur Head and Mary Valentine Head. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Left to cherish her memory are five children: Michael Strickland, Kissimmee, FL; Marlene Lanier, Orange Park, FL; Elizabeth Branson, Inverness, FL; Shirlene Ross, Jacksonville, FL; Sherri Schneider, Inverness, FL; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest S. Strickland on June 20, 2010 and her brother, Bobby Head.
The things she cherished most in life was any time she could spend with her family and emulating our Savior through service.
A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, June 4th at 2:00 PM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, Fl. Bishop Edward Nixon will officiate. Burial will be private in Florida National Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family Saturday from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
