Rose Maxine Hooker, 89 years, of Floral City, passed away May 23, 2022 in HPH Hospice, Lecanto. She was born October 16, 1932, at home in Whitesville, W. VA, to the late Martin E. Hudson and Ellie Bias. She has been a resident of Floral City for many years.

Many of her friends would call her Maxine, some would call her Rose.
Maxine was a longtime member of Church of God, Bushnell. She loved to play Bingo with her girlfriends at Our Lady of Fatima Church, and there wasn’t a week that went by, that she would not be at the hairdressers, for her weekly appointment. A loving and devoted wife, until her husband, William B. Hooker, passed away in 2011, Maxine was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. For many years she assisted with the Old Timers Reunion in Floral City, and loved to cook and care for her family.

She was predeceased by her parents; Martin E. and Ellie Hudson, her beloved husband; William B. Hooker, her great grand daughter Haylee Benson Smith, and her great grandson Gabriel Hubert.

Left to cherish her memory are 1 son; Billy Hooker (Jen), 2 daughters; Bonnie Lou Gearhart (Jim), and Patricia Lynn Hooker (Corky Miley), 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, and her beloved Carter.

Maxine will be laid to rest with her husband in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Cremation with care arrangements under the direction of Chas E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness.
