Randolph “Randy” Pettit
February 5, 1942 – March 28, 2022

As the sun set on March 28, 2022, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ took his servant, Randy’s hand and walked with him into paradise. Randy loved his Lord and the way he lived his life and treated people reflected that love. He never met a stranger. He treated each and every person he met with respect and had the unique gift of making them feel valued. He always had time to listen and was always willing to lend a hand. If you had a problem or couldn’t figure something out – Randy was your man. He truly shared the love God gave him.

Dandy Randy, handy Randy, BH, “Superman”, all nicknames given to him by those who loved him. Everyone got a kick out of his quirky personality and quick wit. He will always be remembered by his “easy going” nature and “his smile”.

He absolutely adored his wife, Debbie, who he felt was one of God’s most beautiful gifts to him. They were inseparable even to his last breath. A once-in-a lifetime love.

Randy was a simple man, his life was his treasure. He appreciated God’s blessings. Moving to Inverness, to this community, was a great part of those blessings. As everyone knows, he had an awesome amount of energy. We all wondered how he kept the pace. He definitely could run circles around a 30 year old all day long. He enjoyed hunting, gabbing with David Rom, boating, motor-cycles, old pickup trucks, singing and kicking back with friends. His favorite pastime was breakfast at C.K. or Hen House with friends. Randy “lived” life, he loved his Lord and was never shy about sharing his faith. Praise was a good part of his life. He had the unique ability to offer food for thought and comments, his timing was impeccable! He would tell you – straight – it is definitely better to give than receive. To live your life, being kind to your fellow man. That’s what is important.

Oh, how we all will miss you Randy! And honey bunny – I love you and always will, see you when our Father calls me home.
Left to treasure Randy’s life: wife Debbie; son, Court Pettit; daughters, Vicki Pettit and Kim Arnett; sister in law, Sherry Gentile (Larry); son in law, Osmany (Mary, deceased); 10 grandchildren, and many greats; precious friend, “GladyMom” Potter, and many faithful and loving friends.
