Benjamin Alvira-Mora

Rev. Benjamin Alvira-Mora 70 years, of Floral City, FL, passed away March 8, 2022, HPH Hospice in Lecanto, FL. He was born October 5, 1951, to the late Lorenzo and Maria Mora Alvira in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.

Mr. Alvira-Mora was a retired minister at The Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. He was ordained in 1986, and had the title of Church Planter. He enjoyed mentoring and counseling young people. He was associated with Faith Evangelica Presbyterian Church in Brooksville, FL. A loving and devoted family man, he was always ready to entertain family and friends with a joke. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, following the Eagles, Phillies, 76er’s, and the Flyers. Above all was his love for Jesus Christ and His Word.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 & ½ years, Milca E. Alvira, and his children, Adelaida Koehler (“DJ” Donald Joseph), of Nolensville, TN, Samuel Alvira (Beth) of Pedricktown, NJ, and Ismari Laubach (Kevin) of Phillisburg, NJ. He is also survived by his siblings, Wilfredo Alvira of Gilbertsville, PA, Elba Ramos, of Sanford, FL, Brunilda Alvira of Orlando, FL, and 9 grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to his Memorial Service Saturday, March 12, 2022, 2pm, at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home 3075 S. Florida Ave Inverness, FL 34450.
Visitation will be from 1-2pm. Officiating the service will be Benjamin’s son,
Rev. Samuel Alvira.
