Paul W Stoll

Paul W. Stoll, 86 of Hernando, passed away February 17, 2022 at the Grove Health and Rehab in Hernando. Paul was born on December 8, 1935 in Celina, Ohio to the late William and Mary (Fifer) Stoll. He came to Citrus County in 1994 from Connecticut.

Paul proudly served his country in the US Army as a paratrooper. Paul and Ginny married the year he completed his military service in 1956. He earned his Bachelor of Diesel Automotive Engineering from Greer Technical Institute in 1958. After 20 years working at Stanadyne Automotive Corp. Paul retired from his successful career at age 59. He was proud to show his family the diesel injection pump that he created. He often shared about traveling internationally for his company. Paul enjoyed playing cards and riding his bicycle.

Paul’s wife of 64 years, Virginia Stoll, passed on February 5, 2021. He was also preceded in death by his brother Wilbert Stoll and sister Ruth Howell (Stoll). Left to cherish his memory are his son, Brent Stoll of Hernando; sister Betty Lautzenheiser and husband Max, of Ocala FL; six grandchildren: Charlotte (Daniel) Levis, Andrew (Amber Lynn Craig), Lucas, Angeline, Susannah, Peter, and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Paul will be conducted on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell with military honors rendered by the Floral City VFW Post #7122. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until service time.
