Serafin U. Apolinario 79 years old of Hernando FL, passed away February 5, 2022 at Citrus Memorial Hospital He was born in the Republic of the Philippines City of Zamboanga to the late Fausto and Dionisia Urbina Apolinario.
In 1969 he and Frances R. Beltran were married in the Philippines and he was employed as a teacher, after receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Education. After moving to the United States in 1990, they settled in New York, and then retired to Florida. He worked as a security guard at a county golf course. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace in Beverly Hills, FL. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and the beaches. He also followed the stock market, enjoyed computer games, and the casino, but above all else he was a family man and always put family first.
He is survived by his wife Frances B. Apolinario, his daughters, Annette B. Apolinario Lacandalo (Jaime), of Port Chester, New York, Liza Grace Apolinario Gambel (John) of Port Chester, NY and Marilyn B. Apolinario at home, 1 grandchild Jazmine Rose Lacandalo, and his brother Felix Apolinario, and his half brother Fausto Apolinario, Jr.
He was predeceased by his parents Fausto and Dionisia Apolinario and his son Jay Elmer Apolinario.
Family and friends are invited to his Catholic funeral service with Fr. Erwin Belgica officiating, Saturday February 26, 2022 11am from the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home 3075 S. Florida Avenue Inverness, FL 34450. Visitation will begin 10:00AM, burial will be private.
