Howard E. Chambers, Jr., 73, of Inverness, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Howard was born on December 26, 1948 in Corry, Pennsylvania, and came to Citrus County in 2007, from Ohio.
A dairy farmer in New York, Howard also transported the Amish in his Ohio community, both locally and long distance. He loved to play shuffleboard and golf. Howard had a 3 wheel recumbent cycle that he enjoyed riding. He also enjoyed camping and sitting by the campfire. While in Florida, he worked for the Salvation Army. Howard was Methodist by faith and attended the church in Windsor, Ohio and the Floral City United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 50 years, Deborah Chambers; his children: Adam T. Chambers and his wife Tabitha of Kinsman, OH, his daughter, Amy L. Chambers Ricer and her husband, Albert, of Orwell, OH; his mother, Betty Lou Martin Chambers, his brother Martin (Lisa) Chambers; his 3 sisters: Nancy Chambers, Darlene (Jerry) Morningstar, Sherrie (Wayne) Matthews; and his grandchildren: Cody (Kayla) Chambers, Collin (Hayley) Chambers, and Abigail “Abby” Ricer. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard E. Chambers, Sr.
A Celebration of Life for Howard will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 4:30 PM from the Floral City United Methodist Church. Cremation is under the care of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
