Vincent Anthony Ignico Jr., 68 of Inverness, passed away December 10, 2021 under the loving care of his family and Vitas Hospice in Lecanto. Vincent was born on July 13, 1953 in Clearwater, Fl, to the late Vincent A. and Sara (Cameron) Ignico.
He graduated from Clearwater High School in 1971 and soon after served as a fireman in the U.S. Air Force. Vince later attended the University of South Florida, where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering. Upon graduation he enjoyed an accomplished career in the field of engineering.
Vincent loved watching college football especially the Gators and was an enthusiastic fan of the Tampa Bay Rays and the Buccaneers. In his spare time, his passion was going to the gym. He was a big music fan and loved Hard Rock music especially. Most importantly, he was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Bonnie Ignico; his brother Robert Ignico (Kathy), his sisters Grace (Bill) and Arlene Ignico (Kathy); nieces Robin Ignico, Suzanne Cantey (Donald), Jennifer Podell (Greg), Sarah Shields, Devin Sinha (Aneesh), Carol Peroni, Carolyn Lazarus, Christina Lazarus, Kelsey Will; nephews Allen Dennis, Shawn Jensen, Brent Ignico (Jennifer), and Kevin Will (Emily).
A memorial Mass for Vincent will be held on Friday, December 17th at 2:00 PM from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness, With Father Tim Cummings, Celebrant.
