Frank John Carnival of Homosassa, FL passed away at his home while surrounded by his loving family on November 3, 2021 at the age of 90. He was born to the late Frank and Angelina (Giallombordo) Carnival on October 8, 1931 in Manhattan, NY. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Following his military service he became a Bus Driver for the City of New York, retiring after 20 years of service. Frank made Florida his home originally in 1983. He resided in Georgia for a time but returned to make Homosassa his home in May of 2021. Frank was a Catholic by faith and a Parishioner of St. Benedicts Catholic Church. In his spare time he enjoyed watching and betting on horse races, bowling and ping pong. He really enjoyed being active throughout his lifetime.
Those left to mourn Frank’s passing include his loving wife of 65 years, Frances (Di Lorenzo) Carnival; his children: Jeffrey Carnival, Steven Carnival and Karen Carnival-Wasilewski; son in law, Leo Wasilewski; daughter in law, Cynthia Carnival; grandchildren: James, John and Joey Fink, Nicky Carnival, Joey Rhodes; and six great great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance is scheduled for Monday, November 8, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home and will be conducted by Father Claudius Mganga of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Following the chapel service, a committal service will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 11:30 AM where full military honors will be rendered by Floral City VFW #7122 Honor Guard. Arrangements are under the care of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
