Patsy Ruth Burkett, 83, of Inverness, FL passed away on October 11th, 2021 under the care of Citrus Memorial Hospital of Inverness. She was born to the late Homer and Pauline (Grogg) Meanor on November 29th, 1937 in Walnut Grove, Mississippi. She later moved with her parents to Susquehanna, PA where she graduated from high school. She made Citrus County her home in 1998 when she moved from Waverly, VA. She enjoyed attending Trinity Independent Baptist Church of Inverness.
Patsy accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and even had a helping hand in heading her husband, Charlye, to accept Jesus as his Savior. As a child, Patsy at times rode to church with her family in an open horse drawn wagon on some bitter cold mornings. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and her love for Jesus made an impact on the lives and world around her.
Patsy, along with her parents and several brothers and sisters, is now with her son, Michael Sinclair, who preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 42 years, Charlye; her children, David Sinclair (Connie) of Inverness, FL, Dee Sinclair (Donna) of Inverness, FL, and Terri Norton (Steve) of Bellevue, Nebraska; her brother, John Meanor; her sister, Bertha Perkins; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home on Friday, October 15th, 2021 at 2 PM with Pastor Jerry Bloxton officiating.. A gathering of family and friends for a time of fellowship and remembrance will begin at 1 PM and continue until the hour of service. Patsy will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery of Bushnell, FL at a later date. Cremation with Care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
