James Curtiss Provost, “Jim”, 56, of Floral City, FL passed away on September 29th, 2021 at his home. He was born to the late John H. and Linda Mary Houle Provost on February 12th, 1965 in Burlington, Vermont. Jim moved to Florida and made it his home in 1975 when he moved from Burlington. He honorably served our country as a member of the United States Army for 23 years. He served in several Operations during his time in the service.
Jim enjoyed woodworking and was a gun enthusiast. He spent some of his free time scalloping, fishing, and riding on his motorcycle. He loved to watch old western movies and the Dallas Cowboys. His family describes him as a good family man and a great husband, father, brother, and friend. Jim especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish Jim’s memory are his wife of 25 years, Christina; his three children, Daniel, Mark, and Jessica Provost; his three brothers, John (Angela), Timothy (Joann), and Michael Provost; and many cherished extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 at 12:00 PM at New Testament Baptist Church of Floral City, FL. Calling hours will be from 11:30 AM until the hour of service. He will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery following the services, where Military Honors will be rendered. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
