Dale Miller

Dale Miller, age 90 of Inverness, FL went to be with the Lord on August 4, 2021 at Vitas Hospice in Lecanto. Mr. Miller was born in Alva, FL on February 23, 1931 to the late John Franklin James Miller and Lois Roberta (Allen) Miller and moved to this area in 1958 from Ocala. He was employed as the manager for the Napa Auto Parts Store (originally named Lovell Brothers) for 50 years prior to retirement. He served our country both in the U.S. Army for two years (Korean veteran) followed by a 38 years 9 months 19 days career in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant.
Dale was a deeply religious man and active in the First Assembly of God Church in Inverness for many years. He was a deacon in the church for 25 years, served as the church secretary-treasurer for 10 years, and taught Sunday School classes as well. Additionally, he was a member of the V.F.W. Post 4252 in Inverness.

Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Dennis Dale Miller and wife Angie and Vivian Louise Hammett and husband Ronnie, both of Inverness; 6 grandchildren: Michael Dennis Miller, Christopher David Miller, Amber Hammett Cook, Andrew Terry, Tom Terry, and Jon Terry; 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Christine Miller in 2011, and 4 brothers, Dillon Miller, Milton Miller, Tommy Miller, and Earl Patterson.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the Redemption Point Assembly of God Church (formerly First Assembly of God) on Pleasant Grove Road with Pastor Steve Miller officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 12 noon until the hour of service. Burial with military honors will be announced at a later date. The Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness is assisting the family.
