Constance A. Millikan

Constance A. Millikan of Inverness, FL passed away at Citrus Health and Rehab on July 28, 2021 at the age of 83. She was born to the late Ernest and Edith (Wright) Godfrey on January 27, 1938 in Tonawanda, NY.

In November of 1959, she married her husband, David Millikan with whom she shared 61 years of loving marriage. Constance and her husband made Citrus County their home 20 years ago after relocating from Clarence, NY and attended worship services at First Presbyterian Church of Inverness. She was formally employed by the New York Central Railroad as a Freight Clerk and in later years as home health aide. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, writing poetry and going to the movies. In her youth she was very athletic and enjoyed water skiing and ballet dancing.

In addition to her husband David, Constance is survived by her daughter, Michelle Edwards and her husband Troy of Danville, KY; son, Preston Millikan and his wife Lisa of California, MD; her twin sister, Carole Wiesinger of Clarence, NY; grandchildren: Nichole (Alex) Goralnik, Caler (Madison) Edwards; great grandchild, Eveleigh Goralnik; nephews: Keith, Ken and Brian Weisinger. She was preceded in death by her nephew Kevin Weisinger.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, August 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness and will be conducted by Rev. Lou Ellen Hartley of the First Presbyterian Church of Inverness. Following the chapel service, a committal service will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 11:30 AM. The procession to the cemetery will leave the funeral home promptly at 10:45 AM. Friends are invited to join the family in visitation at 9:30 AM until the hour of the service.
