Mary M. Rouse of Floral City went to Heaven at her home while under the loving care of her family and HPH Hospice on July 27, 2021 at the age of 82. She was born to the late Pearlie and Twila (Cornelison) Barnhart on October 27, 1939 in Livonia, MO and was a Baptist by faith. Prior to retirement she was a factory worker for the metal industry. Mary shared 56 years of loving marriage with her husband Elwin Rouse, who preceded her in death on August 29, 2014. She and Elwin made Florida their home in 1974 after relocating from Rockford, IL. In her spare time, she enjoyed word puzzles and going out to eat with her family and friends. Mary also liked watching wrestling and old westerns on television. When her husband was alive, they enjoyed traveling with each other. Mary also loved old country music and one of her favorite artists was Elvis. She also enjoyed Bluegrass Festivals. Her and her daughter Cindy loved making quilts together. She will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother that cherished her family.
Those left to mourn Mary’s passing include her sons: Daniel Rouse and his wife Julie, Allen Rouse and his wife Coleen; sisters: Annabelle Jones, Betty Branden; 9 grandchildren Natasha “Rouse” Eskridge (Husband: Stanley), Cody Pusey, Cheyanne Pusey (Fiancé: Joe) , Jesse Rouse (Wife: Becca), Christine Ghosh (Husband: Soham), Andy Rouse, Clinton Langley, Jackie Moye (Husband: Dave), Shanny Whitman (Husband: Randill) and 11 great grandchildren Carmyn Eskridge, Trysta Eskridge, Cassydie Eskridge, Trynidie Eskridge, Justin Moye, Logan Moye, Willow Whitman, William Brown, Kanad Ghosh, Autumn Andrews, Leo Pusey and Tristan Talmadge. In addition to her husband Elwin, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia “Rouse” Pusey; brother, Andrew Jackson Barnhart; and sisters: Phyllis Rouse, Gracie Lamb, Etta Rouse and Angie Flynn.
