Robert Lee Dollar, age 83, Lecanto, FL passed away at home on July 20, 2021 under the loving care of his family and Vitas Hospice. Mr. Dollar was born in Pelham, GA on November 4, 1937 to the late Johnnie and Romie (Vickery) Dollar and came to Citrus County in 1962 from Tampa. He was the founder and owner of the Robert Dollar Plumbing and Electric Co., and D&D, Inc. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Inverness. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, spending time with the family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 59 years, Juanita (Christianson) Dollar; 2 sons: Robert Lee Dollar, Jr. and wife, Gloria of Dunnellon, FL; David James Dollar and wife, Melissa of Hernando, FL; 2 daughters: Wanda Justine Durbin and husband, Mike of Lecanto, FL; Penny Sue Smith of Lecanto, FL; 4 sisters: Grace Tribble and Dot DeVane, both of Plant City, FL; Pat Parrish of Wildwood, FL; Gaynel Buckaloo of Lakeland, FL; 12 grandchildren: Britton, Brandon, Logan, Sabrina, Casey, Codi, Randy, Bobby, Shane, Kyle, Brandy, and Pepper; 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Buford, Paul, Dennis, James, and Ray. His sisters: Margaret & Ollie Mae.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 1:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness with Rev. Terry Roberts, pastor of Crossroads Baptist Church officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 noon until the hour of service.
