William H Pindell Jr

William H. Pindell, Jr., Retired U.S. Navy Submariner, Master Chief passed away peacefully on May 16, 2021 in his home in Homosassa, FL surrounded by his loving wife, children, and dog. Mr. Pindell was 70 years old.
Mr. Pindell who was born and raised in Baltimore, MD served in the U.S. Navy for 25 years, and was primarily stationed in Groton, CT. He served on multiple submarines including the USS Casimir Polaski, USS Dallas, and USS Glenard P. Lipscomb. He was the Chief of the Boat for the USS Topeka, and the USS Miami. He retired to Bivalve, MD before moving to Florida.
In addition to his dedicated service to the Navy, he was a scout leader and a Free Mason. In his retirement, Mr. Pindell spent his time as an avid train hobbyist, amateur fisherman and a storyteller. He was gracious with his time and was depended on for his advice and help by many.
Mr. Pindell is survived by his adoring wife, Delores A. Pindell and three children, William H. Pindell III and Megen Pindell of Grantham, NH, Jennifer Pindell and Jeff Majka of South Windsor, CT, and Michelle Osborn and Douglas Greene of Easton, MD. Remembering him fondly are his five grandchildren, Shelby Lanase, Nate Klimczak, Silas Klimczak, Lillias Pindell, and William H. Pindell IV.
A private “Celebration of Life” to be held at his home in Homosassa, FL. Final resting place to be Arlington Cemetery, VA, with a date to follow. Donations in Mr. Pindell’s memory can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children at www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/shc.
