Alexis Jade Adamson, 24, of Floral City, FL passed away on April 25, 2021 at Citrus Memorial Hospital of Inverness, FL. She was born to Patrick Adamson and Jessica (Lanting) McClendon on January 1, 1997 in Pawpaw, Michigan and immediately brightened the lives of those around her. Citrus County has been her home since 2011 after moving with her family from Kalamazoo, Michigan and she attended Cornerstone Baptist Church of Inverness.
Alexis will be remembered for having a smile that could light up a room and for her love of music, more specifically, her love of Frank Sinatra. Alexis was given the opportunity to participate in the Make A Wish Foundation, where she and her family got to take a trip to Disney in Orlando, FL and Alexis had a great time. She loved to mimic her grandma, and was always making everyone around her smile.
Alexis is preceded in death by her grandmother, Thelma Adamson and by her cousin, Unit Commander of Nature Coast Young Marines, Lisa Gonzales. Those left to cherish her memory are her mother and step-father, Jessica McClendon and Justin Knight; her father, Patrick Adamson; her eight siblings and step-siblings, Christopher Adamson, Joshua McClendon, Aaliyah McClendon, Justin Knight II, Kandyce Fields, Jordyn Knight, Aleyah Knight, and Madison Knight; her grandmother, Elizabeth Sherman; her grandfather, Michael Lanting; her step-grandfather, James Wrinkle; her special person, Michael McClendon; several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and teachers. She was clearly loved by many and will be missed dearly.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance is scheduled for Monday, May 3rd, 2021 at 3 PM at Cornerstone Baptist Church of Inverness, FL. A visitation of family and friends will begin at 2 PM and continue until the hour of service. Reverend Darrell Reneau will be officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
