Regina F Stauff

Regina F. Stauff, 81, of Hernando, FL passed away on April 19, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 26, 1939 in New York City to the late John F. and Marie C. (Winters) Fox. She married her beloved husband, John, in December of 1964. Regina loved learning and had multiple degrees—two of them being Nursing and Computer Science. She worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital in her younger years after graduating from St. Luke’s School of Nursing in New York. Later, after discovering the world of computer science, she returned to school at Ocean County College and subsequently worked for AT&T Bell Laboratories for 10+ years as a Software Engineer. She retired from AT&T in 1998. Together, she and her husband made Citrus County their home in 2001 after relocating from Toms River, New Jersey. Regina, along with her parents, was preceded in death by her brothers, John Fox and Peter Fox and her sister, Mary Ann Jackson. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, John; her son, Dr. Jon Stauff of Brookings, South Dakota; her brother, William (Joan) Fox of The Villages, FL; and her two sisters, Rita T. Fox of Princeton, NJ and Alice C. Memmen (Robert) of Stuart, FL. Arrangements for Regina are private. She will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery of Bushnell, FL at a later date. Cremation with Care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
