On Sunday, April 18, 2021, Brenda Sue Thompson, 68, of Floral City, Florida, passed away at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Florida, after a brief illness.
Brenda was born on October 8, 1952, in Washington D.C. She grew up in Fort Washington, Maryland. She worked for several years for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Union in Washington, DC doing administrative work before retiring. She was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoyed her pets, coffee, eating Maryland blue crabs, playing cards and games, decorating for holidays, and spending time with family. She deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents James T. Thompson Sr. and Judy F. Thompson, and is survived by her sister Linda Giampapa (William), brother James (Jimmy) Thompson Jr. (Diane), her son David Thompson (Patricia), and grandchildren Emily, David Jr., and Abigail.
Memorial service will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society-Citrus County, Florida (Because of her love of rescuing animals). Cremation care by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
