June A Butler

June A. Butler of Lecanto, FL passed away at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the age of 73. June was born to the late Donald and Geraldine (Scudder) Van Hoesen on June 23, 1947 in Laurens, NY. She moved from Oneonta, NY and made Florida her home over 30 years ago, settling originally in St. Petersburg then Crystal River. Prior to retirement, June worked as a Sales Associate in retail sales. In her spare time she enjoyed coloring books, reading, puzzles and going shopping. She also enjoyed watching movies and Star Wars was one of her favorites. June really loved her circle of friends and liked the time she got to spend with them and socializing with others.
Those left to mourn June’s passing include her sons: Todd Tucker and his wife Heather of Sandy Hook, CT, Zach Tucker and his wife Victoria of Albany, NY; daughter, Rani Tucker and her long time partner J.R. Wunder of Copperopolis, CA; sisters: Donna Van Hoesen of Hernando, FL, Linda Culver of Spring Hill, FL, Phyllis Becker and her husband Gary of Oneonta, NY; grandchildren: Natalie Tucker, Dominic Wunder and Avery Wunder.
June’s family plan to have a private Service with burial at Oneonta Plains Cemetery in Oneonta, NY at a later date. Donations in June’s memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.
