Nancy A Rogers

Nancy Ann Rogers, age 81, Homosassa, FL passed away suddenly at home on March 14, 2021. Nancy was born in Hamtramck, MI on January 11, 1940 to the late Stanley and Wanda (Stanglewicz) Kowalczyk. Nancy came to this area in 1962 from California where she served our country in the U.S. Navy from 1958 until 1961. She was a Registered Nurse, certified in Oncology, and worked in several hospitals including Citrus Memorial. Nancy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lecanto and active in the Gideon’s Auxiliary. She was a volunteer at Romeo Elementary, Central Ridge Elementary, and Forrest Ridge Elementary schools assisting the children with their learning assignments and reading skills.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 59 years, Richard Eugene Rogers, Homosassa, FL; her son, Andrew A. Rogers and wife, Jenniffer of Beverly Hills, FL; her brother, Donald Kowalczyk of Shelby Township MI; and her grandson, Wyatt Dare Rogers. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Eugene Rogers, Jr; her daughter, Wanda Therese Rogers Beck; brother, Ralph Kowalczyk, and 2 sisters, Sylvia Day and Delphine Whitesock.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 11:00 am from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, with Pastor Gary Bailey of the First Baptist Church of Lecanto officiating. Burial will follow in Stage Pond Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until the service begins.
