Alfred James Allard, 77, of Inverness, FL passed away on February 23, 2021 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL. He was born to the late Elmer and Lucy (Chase) Allard in Wareham, Massachusetts on June 2, 1943. He was a Nutritional Specialist at Citrus Memorial Hospital for some time and also bravely served our country as a member of the United States Army. He served in Vietnam and was very proud of his military service and his dedication to his country. He married his beloved wife, Pamela, in 1969 and together, they made Citrus County their home in 2000 from Wakefield, Massachusetts. Alfred enjoyed attending Seventh Day Adventist Church in Inverness, FL and was a very devoted Adventist. He was a Train Enthusiast and enjoyed riding on trains, watching them, and building model trains and tracks. He will be remembered for being a very funny person and having a great sense of humor. He was a very generous and loving father and will be deeply missed by all who got the privilege of meeting and knowing him throughout his life.
Along with his parents, Alfred was preceded in death by his two sisters, Ruth and Dorothy. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Pamela, his son, Scott Michael Allard (Jessica Bishop) of Melbourne, FL, his daughter, Colleen Marie MacVeigh (Michael Hanney) of Norwood, Massachusetts, and his five adored grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Alfred will be on Thursday, March 4, at 4:00PM, at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 3:00PM, until the hour of service. Alfred will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, in honor of his dedicated military service, at a later date. Cremation with Care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness, FL.
