Dora Bell Walters of Lake Panasoffkee, FL passed away at Advent Health Waterman Hospital in Tavares, FL on February 19, 2021 at the age of 89. Dora was born to the late Silas Lee and Margaret (Campbell) Johnson on June 26, 1931 in Bath County, KY. She just celebrated 70 years of loving marriage to her husband Andrew J. Walters in January of this year. Dora and her husband Andrew made Florida their home in 1976 after relocating from Kentucky. She was a Christian by faith and enjoyed baking and needlepoint. Dora also enjoyed working puzzles of all kinds, especially crossword puzzles.
In addition to her husband Andrew, Dora’s passing will be mourned by her sister, Jessie York of Montverde, FL. “Aunt DoDo” will be missed by her nieces and nephews: Margaret (Jeff) Alberts of Florida, Raymond (Vivian) Setters, Bonnie Dailey and David Jackson (Penny) Setters, all of Kentucky.
A Memorial Service is planned for Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL and will be conducted by the Reverend Greg Kell.
