Phyllis R. Meyers, 74, of Inverness, FL passed away on February 6, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Harold R. and Marie (Hofstetter) Simmons on October 7, 1946 in Bay City, Michigan.
Phyllis was a traveler who loved to stay on the move. She traveled to and from Citrus County for many years before finally settling down here in October of 2019. She took on various job avenues throughout her life and was skilled at every one of them; from working as a CNA, to a retail worker, to a factory worker, she really did it all and found joy no matter what she did.
Phyllis enjoyed playing cards and BINGO, gambling, fishing, and spending time with her beloved family and friends. She will be remembered for being a very caring person and would help anyone that asked. She was truly her family’s rock, someone that they could always count on to support them and lean on during hard times. Phyllis will be deeply missed.
Phyllis, along with her parents, was preceded in death by her former husband, Roger Meyers, when he passed in February of 2018. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, John Caspers when he passed on June 28, 2018, her cherished grandson, Cody in May of 2019, and her sister, Pat Betzold in April of 2018.
