Virginia L. Stoll, 85 of Hernando, passed away February 5, 2021 at Citrus Memorial Hospital with COVID19. Virginia was born in Coldwater, Ohio on September 6, 1935 to the late Orvin and Eleanora (Klosterman) Sodders. She and her husband came here in 1996 from Connecticut and was a woman of faith.
Virginia graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing (affiliate of Perdue University), Fort Wayne Indiana in 1956. She started her nursing career in trauma. She later moved to labor and delivery, and ended her career as a nurse at Kimberly Hall Nursing Home in Windsor Connecticut.
Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, stencil painting and playing cards and Mahjong. She was a member of the garden club in Connecticut prior to moving to Florida.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 64 years, Paul W. Stoll; her son Brent Stoll of Hernando; six grandchildren: Charlotte (Daniel) Levis, Andrew (Amber Lynn Craig), Lucas, Angeline, Susannah, Peter; and several great-grandchildren. She will be remembered by numerous extended family, and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life service for Virginia will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 10 AM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, with Father Claudius of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church officiating. To participate in the service virtually please visit the funeral home’s Facebook page at: Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. As a COVID19 precaution, masks and social distancing are required at all services.
